Bob Hoyle Received a Paul Harris Award.

Bob Hoyle received a Paul Harris + 3 award for his financial and volunteer services to our club. Michael Gordon presented the award and we thanked Bob for his continued contributions and engagement into our club.  The Paul Harris Fellow recognition acknowledges individuals who contribute, or who have contributions made in their name, of $1,000 or more to The Rotary Foundation.  Congratulations Bob!

Update On Our Strategic Plan
I presented to the Club an update on our Strategic Plan.  It was an overview of the work that has been accomplished by the volunteer strategic team.  We spent a ½ day in June starting the process of developing this plan with the understanding there is more work to be done.  I will work on setting a Saturday aside to continue working on the plan.  As I stated in my update, we need to develop committees and subcommittees (in same cases) to bring much needed structure to our club.  This will be the work of the Club Board and The Strategic team to make sure we have the right committees along with leadership needed.  Stay Tuned – very excited to get this in place!

Fire and Police Golf Tournament
Linda Deland was in attendance to give an update on the Fire and Police Golf Tournament.  She thanked all the volunteers and gave encouraging details on how well the tournament was run and the fun that was had by all.  The actual numbers will be presented to the Foundation Board in August – having said that it was very clear that it was very successful and will provide additional funding to the Police and Fire Fund.  Thank-You Linda and all others that took their valuable time to make this event so successful.
