🎉 CONGRATULATIONS, EVERYONE!

Thanks to the magic of the September 11th Imagination Library event and the energy of Broomfield Days on September 20, we've reached an exciting new milestone:
• 900 children are now registered to receive free books
• 184 children have graduated from the program
• That’s 1,084 families served—just within two Broomfield zip codes!
• A total of 24,372 books have been mailed to these children and their families

THANK YOU for your incredible support!

It was truly heartening to have fellow Rotarians help staff the Imagination Library booth at Broomfield Days. Your presence sent a powerful message to the community—not only about the good we do, but also about the supportive club we have. It was a wonderful opportunity to connect with potential members who share our mission of service and literacy.

YOU ARE NOT WASTING YOUR TIME

At Thursday’s meeting, I shared a chart similar to this one. It compares the number of children who register for free books with the number of outreach events we hold each month.

The message is clear: the more we engage with the community, the stronger our connections become—and the more families we reach. We are not only supporting the Imagination Library at these events, but we are also continuing to improve Rotary's exposure in Broomfield.

Broomfield Early Childhood Council

Jessica Jones, Director

Broomfield Early Childhood Council

In our meeting Thursday we brought together three leaders from the Broomfield Early Childhood Council. Director Jessica Jones shared how the Council supports children and families through programs like Universal Preschool, parenting classes, and developmental screenings—all designed to nurture growth from birth through age eight. Mercy Manresa, the Parent Engagement Coordinator, spoke about the power of connection, explaining how free parenting classes help families learn, grow, and support one another.

One especially moving moment came when Melissa Massoni, a board member and mother, described how the Council helped her daughter overcome speech challenges. With their guidance, her daughter found both her voice and her confidence.
The meeting also spotlighted the Council’s partnerships with local organizations—including the Broomfield Library and Broomfield Detention Center—and emphasized the importance of play-based learning in early childhood development.

As the meeting concluded, Jessica invited everyone to join the Council’s upcoming 10-year anniversary celebration, reminding us all that our shared efforts are making a lasting difference in the lives of Broomfield’s children.
