Jessica Jones, Director
Broomfield Early Childhood Council
In our meeting Thursday we brought together three leaders from the Broomfield Early Childhood Council. Director Jessica Jones shared how the Council supports children and families through programs like Universal Preschool, parenting classes, and developmental screenings—all designed to nurture growth from birth through age eight. Mercy Manresa, the Parent Engagement Coordinator, spoke about the power of connection, explaining how free parenting classes help families learn, grow, and support one another.
One especially moving moment came when Melissa Massoni, a board member and mother, described how the Council helped her daughter overcome speech challenges. With their guidance, her daughter found both her voice and her confidence.
The meeting also spotlighted the Council’s partnerships with local organizations—including the Broomfield Library and Broomfield Detention Center—and emphasized the importance of play-based learning in early childhood development.
As the meeting concluded, Jessica invited everyone to join the Council’s upcoming 10-year anniversary celebration, reminding us all that our shared efforts are making a lasting difference in the lives of Broomfield’s children.
