Our own Kimberly Groom was the winner of a pitch competition put on by NextCycle Colorado with her upstart company BioChar Green. BioChar Green is an organic waste diversion company that converts post-harvest marijuana waste into green bricks which can then be processed into biochar, a soil amendment.
Kimberly presented background to her start-up company, the positive environmental impact and the market potential of BioChar Green. She also re-enacted her presentation that won her first prize of $5,000 with competition against several other companies.
