The Broomfield Community Foundation awarded charitable grants on August 20, 2009.  The following grants were awarded from the funds provided by Broomfield Rotary.  Thank you Rotary....for your generosity and outstanding support of the Community!

 

BROOMFIELD COMMUNITY FOUNDATION AWARDS

Granted on August 20, 2009 from Rotary Sponsored Funds

 

Audio Information Network -$1,000 to provide audio information services to blind, visually impaired and print disabled Broomfield citizens, focusing on seniors

 

Bal Swan Children's Center -$1,500 for scholarships to low-income or special needs Broomfield families

 

Emerald Elementary-$2000 to help pay for vision, dental and mental health services for Emerald students through referrals by the Nurse Resource Consultant

 

Dance Arts Studio/Children's DanceTheatre-$1,000 to help with the 2009 annual production that will be performed in numerous Broomfield elementary schools

 

Imagination Makers Theatre -$1,000 to support the tour of two plays that will be performed in several Broomfield schools

 

Impact on Education -$1,500 will provide help for classroom programs at Emerald Elementary and BroomfieldHeightsMiddle School

 

North Metro Children's Advocacy Center -$2,000 to provide services for Broomfield children including case management, forensic interviews and community education

 

Parlando School for the Arts -$1,000 to provide scholarships for Broomfield students wishing to pursue instrument lessons and classes

 

Partners Mentoring Youth -$1,200 to support this one-on-one mentoring program serving BroomfieldCounty youth

 

Peanut Butter Players -$450 for scholarships to Broomfield youth that otherwise could not afford to participate

 

Safehouse Progressive Alliance for Nonviolence -$3,000 for their outreach program in Broomfield that provides crisis intervention, outreach counseling, access to emergency shelter and legal advocacy

 

Salvation Army -$1,500 to support the after school program for Birch Elementary that provides a safe, nurturing environment and tutoring to students
