On June 25, 2026, the Club held its annual “Oustillation”. “Oustillation” is usually the last Club meeting of the Rotary Year (July 1 – June 30). At the meeting, the Club “ousts” the officers and directors who served during the concluding Rotary year and conducts an “installation” of a new slate of Officers and Directors to serve during the coming year Rotary Year. Oustillation is a celebration of what the Cub accomplished in the past year and an expression of enthusiasm for what is to come. This year, Clayton Shearer and his Wife Maggie were generous enough to host the event in their large and beautiful backyard (pictured above). And until the very end, Mother Nature treated us to a beautiful evening. Then at the end, Mother Nature prodded us to go home with a little wind and rain.

The program did not disappoint. Ben Vagher thanked and congratulated outgoing President, Dennis Kennedy, for his tireless devotion to the club and accomplishments over the past year (pictured above, left). Dennis thanked the outgoing Board of Directors and provided them with gift bags (above right).

The Club then presented Robert Balzano with this year’s Ken Hoyle Award. Each year, in honor of Ken Hoyle, a founding member of the Club, the Club presents this award to the Member that during the past year, embodied service above self and the other ideals of Rotary more than any other member of the Club. The award is an expression of immense respect and gratitude. Pictured is Rob accepting the award with his wife Christine (pictured above).

Next, incoming President Brian Forman took the mic (pictured left). He discussed some of his priorities for the coming year and introduced the incoming Board of Directors (above right).

Perhaps the “cherry on top” was that Ben Vagher brought over the 1970 Chevy Nova that he had acquired to award in a sweepstakes to raise money for charity. The drawing for the Nova was scheduled for the following day. Before the Nova would find its next owner (the winner of the sweepstakes) Paul Derda could not resist the temptation jump behind the wheel of that beauty (above, left). And that engine! (you can figure it out). But alas, Paul did not win the drawing or come with the car.
A good time was had by all!
