Rotary Toured the City and County of Broomfield's Election Center
Crystal Clemens, the City and County Clerk of Broomfield, and her team, hosted our Rotary Club last night. Crystal provided an overview of the current election legislation and the protections that are in place to insure an unhindered operation. Two specific items she mentioned is that all ballot drop-off boxes, and the election center itself, are under 24-hour surveillance. Additionally, voters can track the status of their mail ballot by using Ballot Trax, a service provided by the CO Secretary of State: https://www.sos.state.co.us/pubs/elections/FAQs/BallotTrax.html
 
The group was then escorted to the election center where we were able to see, and touch, the different logs, pouches, counting machines, and verification stations of each stage of the process.

We recently conducted a survey among parents in Broomfield whose children are receiving books from the Imagination Library, below is a summary of the very positive findings.

  • The books are great! They are very long for a 1-year-old, but I'm hoping he will enjoy them later.
  • Your books are wonderful. It's difficult to find such good books in a local library. Here I mean a book message/idea/lesson.
  • We love it! It is the most exciting mail for our child (and us!). We appreciate the diversity also.
  • The books often become his favorite since they are ones, we would not normally choose but end up being perfect for his age. We don't typically read the Spanish because we don't feel comfortable with our pronunciation abilities.
