Jeff Schreier, Economic Development Manager at the City and County of Broomfield, provided an in-depth look at the city's strategic urban and economic development plan. He outlined four catalytic projects: the Flatiron Crossing redevelopment, Broomfield Town Square, the expansive Baseline development, and the Transit Village site, formerly home to the FirstBank Center. Schreier explained how the city is attracting innovative companies in aerospace, quantum computing, and advanced manufacturing by offering affordable commercial space and access to a highly educated workforce. He also outlined Broomfield’s approach to income-aligned housing, workforce development, and the creation of community nodes designed to better connect residents across the city. From micro-grants for entrepreneurs to programs that help seniors maintain their homes, Schreier shared Broomfield's comprehensive plan for sustainable economic growth.
