The Broomfield Rotary Club and Broomfield Crossings Rotary Club sponsored the "Share the Journey" Odyssey 2008 celebration held on September 27, 2008 held at the Omni Interlocken Resort. This event continues to be the major source of funding for the Broomfield Rotary Charitable Foundation, which provides the monies for support of the charities chosen by the Broomfield Rotary Clubs.

For the eighth year, this annual event brought together Rotarians, community residents and local businesses for an evening of fun and food. Preceding dinner, participants had the opportunity to join in the silent auction of goods and services donated by local businesses and residents. Regional artists offered paintings, sculpture and custom jewelry for sale, while patrons joined in wine tasting.
Each year one charitable organization is chosen as the recipient of all the money
raised during a special auction/paddle raiser event. This year, "Healthy Learning
Paths" was chosen to receive this gift.  This year's Odyssey participants donated
$10,182.00 to "Healthy Learning Paths" so this important program can continue to

The "Healthy Learning Paths" program offers educational instruction to students and their families.  Through classes and 'hands-on' activities, the entire family learns how to live the important healthy life style that supports learning and achievement. This program is already having a positive effect in academic performance, student self-confidence and family participation in school matters. Over the past three years, this program has helped 1600 parents, children, child care providers, and educators to address the growing problems of preventable disease in both children and adults as well as the importance of good health to learning. The motto of "Healthy Learning Paths" is, Connecting wellness and Learning for Children's Futures'.
